At ESF, we are all on a mission — to help every student be the best that they can be.
We have nine primary schools, five secondary schools and three all-through schools. One of the all-through schools caters for students with special educational needs (SEN). Students start Year 1 in an ESF primary school in the year they turn five, and start Year 7 in an ESF secondary school in the year they turn 11.
ESF is an all-through system. All primary students are guaranteed a place as they transition to secondary. Starting from 2021/22, ESF kindergarten children joining K1, will be guaranteed a Year 1 place at an ESF school.

Alumni Parent Webinar
We host an Alumni Parent webinar in the month of September when our central applications are open for admissions. Event details will be shared on ESFConnect. Watch our Alumni Parent webinar from last year where we spoke to Yasmeen Ashraf, KGV alumna, parent of 3 children studying in ESF schools.
“I had a really really good childhood, very very happy with school. I don't think I ever complained about it. The education it gave me got to where I am now, which is something I also wanted for my children”
Abigail Tam, Sha Tin College alumna, parent of 2 children studying at South Island School and Quarry Bay School
